I haven't kept up with this blog. I need to!
I took Rocko out (my brittany 1 1/2 years old) for a run through the gamelands. He didn't find anything that I was looking for (grouse/pheasant) but we only stuck to the trails. Well, for the most part.
On the way back to the truck he ended up in the thickets stuff possible chasing....something. I have no clue what it was. At one point he was barking curiously. I could only hear that and his cowbell ringing. After 15 minutes he showed up again and we headed back to the truck.
He's really learning the commands "Stop" and "Heel". Should be a fun fall with him.
Also noticed a lot of aspens remain from the clearcuts. Hopefully this brings on some good grouse habitat because it's definitely lacking around here. Well, as far as I know.
No pictures. I need to get on that. Will be posting more this fall...I didn't keep up with it last fall/winter and I missed logging a LOT of information. Archery, small game, rifle.
